Spikereader - green
Took the girls to see Madagascar today, followed of course by McDonalds. It was the first time Ellen had been to the cinema, so half the fun was watching her experience it. She sat forward on her seat for a long time, kept getting on and off to see it flip back up of its own accord, commented on the film in very loud whispers, and loved putting her drink in the cup holder attached to her seat. She did pretty well, but would probably have preferred to leave about 20 minutes before the film actually ended.

I'm taking Bethan to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at some point before the end of the holidays, even though they've made Johnny Depp look like Helena Bonham Carter (or maybe I was looking at the wrong picture).

Chris is out tonight, so I'm taking advantage of the quiet to catch up on my flist, and wrap his birthday present. I should be thinking about packing for the weekend, but I'm going to do it all tomorrow, and if I forget something it won't be the end of the world. It's only Cumbria for three days, not outer Mongolia for three months. Trouble is, I'm no good at packing light, I like to be prepared for every eventuality.

As I've been tagged by [info]lmbossy for the 5 things meme, I will spend some time thinking about that instead, and maybe post tomorrow.

I actually have to agree with you that I think Jonny Depp looks like Helena Bonham Carter!!!!

I hope you have a wonderful three days in Cumbria... I btw suffer the same problem, I can't pack light to save my life!!!!

cool! Sounds like Ellen had a fab time ... haven't seen Madagascar, but might go and see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ... although I'll probably spend most of it whispering to Mark (my cinema buddy), about how gene wilder did this, the chocolate river was better and everyone knows the oompa-loompas just look wrong ...

*fingers crossed* wishing you good weather in Cumbria

I like to be prepared for every eventuality.

I think that sort of goes with the whole mum thing.

Hope the packing has gone smoothly and there are no cries of "We forgot the..." when you're half way up the motorway. Above all, have a great time.

Ooh! And big, big favour to ask... If when you've been re-reading the series you've noticed loose ends that need tying up e.g. One I remembered all on myself is the outcome with Sam and the rest of The Initiative, it'd be great if you could drop me a line and let me know.

No problem, haven't come across anything apart from a onversation between Tara and Buffy in chapter 5.04 of FTE where Tara needs to talk about something that 'needs setting straight' - with no further mention of it. Don't know if that's something that's going to come out later in A&D. Other than that there's only the Initiative thing, which shouldn't be too difficult for them to find out. (Of course, Lindsey and Scherezade could turn up at some point and make things difficult).

It's okay. That particular something was Tara realising that the orbs actually contained the spirit of the guardian demon, and therefore if they kept them they would be effectively holding the demon prisoner, so all sorted out on that front.

I had been thinking that Lindsey and Scheherazade might make a reappearance in an off screen sort of way. i.e. I need something to keep Angel, etc. busy while Sunnydale has its apocalypse, since I don't want to be trying to write in an extra half dozen or so characters on top of the multitudes I already have.

Good oh. I did think it might be to do with the orbs as I've just read that bit in A&D. It would make sense for Lindsey to come back and annoy Angel.

I also meant to say that I like the way you're including dates in the chapters for A&D - the timescale aspect of it all wasn't something I considered when I first read the story, but I think you need to give them all a bit of a rest soon. *g*
