I used to be a married stay-at-home mother of two girls, both of whom are now at school, which left me with loads of time to read fan fiction (mainly Spike/Buffy but have been known to venture outside that pairing on occasion) and other people's LJs. Most of that is still true - except I now HAVE A JOB (albeit on a part time basis, but five days a week) much to my husband's delight and at the loss of my fanfic/LJ reading time.
I'm a James Marsters fan and so my LJ features him fairly frequently, other than that it's mostly mundane real life matters such as laundry, school and last night's tv. I don't write fic or make pretty icons or headers, although I do enjoy making my journal look pretty with other people's wonderful artwork.
FRIENDS
I like to friend people I find funny or interesting or who write fantastic fic or make pretty icons, but I don't get offended if I'm not friended back. I'm very happy to have new friends but don't automatically friend back until I get to know you through lurking round your LJ for a while. And every day's a de-friending amnesty day round here should you decide you're no longer interested in me and mine. I'm pretty easy going really.
